There is this guy I know who is an author.
He writes for a living.
He doesn't make a killing at it.
But he likes doing it.
He will never be known for most of the material he writes.
He will remain anonymous.
He's fine with that.
But when he goes home he
writes
and writes
and writes
crazy
silly
books
I should know
I'm his wife
And after years and years of watching him write
and helping him write
I want in
I have stories just begging to come out
Stories that I can give my children
my nieces and nephews
my grandchildren
(who aren't here yet, in case you were wondering)
My husband is an author incognito
(literally and figuratively)
and my biggest
SPARK
I love that! And maybe someday you'll work together?
ReplyDeleteThis is so sweet :) You need to do a post telling us about your author hubby. How can we buy his books if he stays incognito?
ReplyDeleteThis was a very sweet entry! thank you for posting.
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely!
ReplyDelete*raises hand* I want in, too.
That is so sweet! Kudos to the incognito author hubby who inspired you.
ReplyDeleteYour husband is pretty awesome, it's true. I wish you two nothing but success and happiness.
ReplyDeleteMy husband is an incognito poet, far superior to me in every way, but without the desire to be published. I can't understand it!
ReplyDeleteAww, this is sweet! Thank you for sharing this, and what a great spark to have. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome! I love the idea of this blog fest. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is SO AWESOME and the best kind of spark! Totally touches my heart! Yeah, I'm a sap this morning, but I love it!

ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful obsession to share together! I still can't get my husband to read a word I write :)
ReplyDeleteRuth- We are SO different that working creatively together is one of the only things we fight about. LOL
ReplyDeleteAngie- I'll keep you updated :) He kinda blows my cover.
Former 786- I was blogstalking your family the other day and thinking the same. Maybe it's time to make your blog private ;)
Randy- Ummmm, good question. I will have to consult the bones. Where can we find your writing? Huh, Kettle? You're looking a little black lately.
Kim- You can always send it my way.
Beautiful tribute to your husband. I'm following your blog now. :)

Glad you stopped by my blog, oh vaunted 200th follower! :-)) I love the simple clean style of this piece, and I adore B & W photos as well as all things retro.
ReplyDeleteFollowing, nice to meet you!
Wow! Awesome story! And I love the way you told it.
ReplyDeleteAwwwwwww! That really is awesome. I'm always hoping that I'll end up with a fellow "creative" person - not necessarily another writer - so that I have someone who really, truly GETS that part of me. Happy to meet you, fellow campaigner! :-D
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! Thanks very much for the follow, and I look forward to reading more posts. :)
ReplyDeleteI found my way here via Rachael's campaign. That was a truly lovely post; and to echo another commenter 'I want in too' :)

ReplyDeleteYour posts always get such a strong emotive reaction from me. Here, I'm wavering on bursting into tears or clapping my hands. I don't know, you just get to me. This is awesome and I love the way you present it.
