Procrastination really pays off sometimes.
I remember as a child we used to have a lime tree in the backyard.
A precious gift from a previous owner.
I was quite fond of sour things and I just adored this lime tree.
We had limeade, lime rickeys, and lime chicken.

Then one year we just got lazy.
I can’t recall if we went out of town that summer or we just ignored that poor lime tree
but that year some of the limes didn’t get picked.

And as those limes just sat on that tree the most amazing thing happened.
They turned into lemons.
A real lesson for life.
Procrastinate and your limes might turn into lemons.
I've been a little (read as massively) blocked in writing for a few weeks now. Maybe this procrastination will produce lemons too. :)
ReplyDeleteAmen! A little procrastination is good for the soul. Especially when it come to the boring stuff.
ReplyDeleteFunny! I try and not procrastinate, but since I'm supposedly making the final tweaks with my editor on a project right this moment, I'd say this defines me quite well!
ReplyDeleteWhen life gives you lemons... keep 'e. Hey free lemons.
ReplyDeleteROFL - That quote is awesome. I love Mark Twain.
