Happy Blog-iversary

My husband actually gave me this ecard for our anniversary last week.
You heard right. An ecard. For our anniversary. LOL!

One month ago I decided to get serious about
the social media aspect of my 'writing career'
(I don't think I can write that without laughing...
so if you laughed as well, good for you)

But check out my numbers in just one month
(These aren't going to be 100% accurate as I am currently on
vacation and had to schedule this post)

Twitter 163

This community ROCKS!

The numbers are nice because they give me goals
(I surpassed my Facebook goal and have an ultimate goal of
200 Blog followers...I think I can, I think I can!)

But the best part of this month is all the great people I met in the
cyber writing world.
They have useful blogs
Impeccable taste in friends
Good advice
Funny Tweets
and they are SO supportive

People like:
Robin    Angie     Betsy   Kim
Jim     Matthew   Ruth    Donna
to name a few
(Once I started, I realized how long this list could get!)

So thanks to all my blog followers, twitter followers, facebook friends!
And if you are on any of these other social networks, look me up!
I want to know that you're out there and know what you're up to.

(Anyone have any good idea's of what I should do if I can get 200 blog followers?)

    Ha! That made my day.

I had noticed that on Facebook. "Shelly Brown is now friend with Jane Doe and 43,643,792 other people."

  2. Wow! You're moving right along. I need to catch up on my Facebook page. Participate in blog hops of some kind. There are tons out there.

  3. I'm impressed--one month and lookit you!

I'm just tickled that I got to boss you around once upon a time. :)

    Thanks for the shout-out!

  4. Your blog totally rocks! And, I have to admit, I really am honored to have made the list, too:)

  5. Congratulations on the blog! I love the heading you chose.

  6. I enjoy your blog and your fun outlook on writing :) Thanks for your shout out!

  7. You are too cute:) One month and over 70 followers? How did you do it? Sounds like a great post for the future!

I don't get The Twitter, but I'll find you on Facebook:)

  8. An all expense paid trip to Hawaii for the 200the follower? Or you could write a famous Shelly poem for the occasion?

  9. Great idea to set some goals for the whole social media thing. It definitely takes effort, but like you say, the community totally rocks! Thanks for visiting my blog. :)

  10. Thanks for that post. It's nice to know that I don't have to create something "new". I have been stressing over a plot development and trying to figure out how to make it unique. I guess when you think about it, there are really only 3 evil motives: greed, lust, and power. So pick one and make it work, right?

  11. Oops, I meant to post this on your other post. I should have paid attention to how far down I scrolled. Just for the record. I'm your follower. I'd love it if you'd be mine.

  12. Betsy- I TOTALLY am your follower. Sometimes I have to check to make sure (and I did) but I KNEW I was yours. I read all your posts!
But it's always worth a try :) Maybe someone else will see this and wanna check out Betsy's cool blog! Come on. You know you want to...
