One of biggest reasons I write is that I love it when my kids read my stuff. I love it when they get excited, when they life, when they would rather I read another chapter . . . etc. My oldest boy is probably my biggest fan. Of course he's read my latest complete book, The Secret of Craggbridge Academy (which is also the book that landed me an agent). Well, I've been mapping out a sequel, and done some preliminary writing, but I've mostly been focusing on a project I'm doing with Shelly. Apparently, that isn't good enough.
My son found some post-it notes, and I found a reminder:
And another one the bag I take to work:
And on my mirror.
And on my bedpost.
And on my ipad.
And I found a few more after I quit taking pictures. Looks like I've got my marching orders. I'll get on it, Son.
Remember your big reasons for writing, and keep up the great work.
hint hint. lol
ReplyDeleteI have to say that's awesome. I love that he loves what, and the fact that you write. I love that they support you. Yep, awesome.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the agent. Good luck with the book.
ReplyDeleteYeah, those were the good post-its too :(
ReplyDeleteLoL, it's cool. I'm pretty excited to see what's going to happen with book 2 as well.
I'd love it if my kids nagged me to write stuff. Right now it's more like "Stop being on the computer and play Legos with me." How am I supposed to resist that? :)
ReplyDeleteIt's impossible. Give in. Legos and kids is a winning combination.
DeleteI need a son like that. Instead, I get to find underwear all over the floor!
ReplyDeleteOH MY GOSH. This is the cutest, most wonderful, inspirational, happy thing I've seen all day. Thank you, son of Chad "I've got some work to do" Morris.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteHilarious, and motivating! What a great kid you have!
ReplyDeleteEveryone could use a fan-club like that! So sweet.
ReplyDeleteWhat great reminders and such a sweet son!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a supportive kid!
