Who's a chicken?

A conversation with my three year old in the car.

"I not chicken," he said

"Me neither." I search my brain for where this topic came from. He was watching Underdog that morning. Calling someone chicken kind of sounds like something from a cheesy 60's cartoon.

"Underdog isn't chicken either, huh?" I add testing to see if this is the source.

"No."

"Underdog is brave!" I think I figured it out.

"No, Underdog is a dog."

Huh? Oh, that kind of chicken.

  1. Too funny. I remember the lightbulb moment when my daughter was little and during Thanksgiving dinner, she realized why the turkey skin on her plate was called skin. Yeah. We never let her live that down.
