Son- "I know a great present for Grandpa. You know that healthy drink he drinks to help him grow strong because he's too old to exercise"
Me- "Ummm? Mountain Dew?"
Son- "Yeah. We can buy him that."
(My Dad is only in his 50s and addicted to Mt.Dew. I think my dad probably told my son that it was a healthy drink 'it has orange juice' but the too old to exercise really made me chuckle- again, probably something my dad told him)
Ha! Ha! Too funny!!! ^_^
ReplyDelete"Out of the mouths of babes"..... excellent reply.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
When you said "healthy drink," I thought it was going to be Ensure or something!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Kids believe everything we tell them. Too funny.
ReplyDeleteHilarious!
ReplyDeleteOh grandparents and the funny tales they tell our children. Great gift idea, though. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat? Mt. Dew isn't a health drink?! And why am I running if I can just drink it instead? My whole world has been rocked.
ReplyDeleteYour dad sounds so funny! It makes you realize how kids remember what you say and you never know who they're going to repeat it to. Your dad probably never thought his healthy drink explanation could possibly land him Mountain Dew for a gift! And your son is so thoughtful! Thanks for the fun shot of life!
ReplyDeleteYou made me laugh out loud! I was thinking Ensure. Oh, man. I'm old enough to be your mother! I'm just too old ...
ReplyDeleteThanks for the smile (and the kind comments about my pic).
My dad is addicted to Mountain Dew as well (he's 64). How funny!
ReplyDeleteHehehe! That's awesome! :D
ReplyDeleteToo funny, Shelly. Maybe you could regift the Charles in Charge book? Just an idea...
ReplyDeleteI'm too old to exercise, does that mean I can drink soda to get strong now?
